What classifies as 'Brand New' on PUSHAS?Updated a day ago
PUSHAS classifies brand new as authentic, unused and unworn, across sneakers, streetwear and collectibles. Minor marks from manufacturing, retail handling and shipping are normal and do not change that classification. Anything beyond them is disclosed on the listing.
Sneakers
Unworn, and supplied with the original box unless the listing says otherwise.
Additional accessories such as spare laces, tags, stickers and cards may or may not be included.
Minor factory imperfections from the manufacturer or retailer are normal and remain brand new, as are sneakers that were unlaced or tried on for fit in store. Minor box damage such as small dents or rips is accepted as standard. Anything beyond that is noted on the listing.
Sneakers aged seven years or more may show natural yellowing, ageing and some loss of structural integrity. This is a property of the materials rather than a fault, and those pieces should be worn at your own discretion.
Streetwear
Unworn, unwashed, and with original tags attached where the piece came with them.
Original packaging such as dust bags or branded boxes is included where it was supplied at retail. Slight imperfections from manufacturer handling are acceptable.
Collectibles
Unopened and in original packaging.
Factory flaws and minor blemishes from production or retail handling are acceptable. Outer packaging such as boxes or shrink wrap may show slight wear from shipping and handling.
On a sealed collectible the packaging is a large part of what you are buying, so anything beyond slight wear is disclosed.
What is not brand new?
- Anything worn, used or tried on outside a retail store
- Anything washed, customised or altered
- Streetwear with tags removed, where tags were supplied
- Collectibles that have been opened
- Any item where damage has reached the piece itself rather than its packaging
None of these are accepted on PUSHAS.
What about the packaging?
Packaging picks up marks between the retailer, the courier and the seller. That is normal, and minor wear is accepted without comment.
Significant damage, or missing components, is always disclosed on the listing. Where a box is damaged beyond ordinary wear, the listing is marked as a damaged box so you know before you buy.
Who checks this?
We do, by hand, on every item. Condition is assessed as part of authentication, before anything is dispatched, and the listing has to describe the piece accurately for it to pass.
