Authenticity & Legitimacy GuaranteeUpdated 2 days ago

Every item sold on PUSHAS is guaranteed authentic. If an item you receive is found not to be authentic, PUSHAS refunds it in full, and it costs you nothing.

This guarantee covers every sneaker, every piece of streetwear and every collectible on the platform, at every price.

What does the PUSHAS Authenticity & Legitimacy Guarantee cover?

Two things, and they work together.

The sellers. PUSHAS is a curated marketplace, not an open one. Every application is reviewed, and roughly one in six is accepted. Sellers are vetted before a single item of theirs is ever listed.

The items. Every item that passes through PUSHAS is physically handled and authenticated by a specialist before it reaches a buyer. Our authenticators are trained, experienced, and have worked across thousands of items and hundreds of releases.

That is the reason the guarantee exists in the first place. It is not a policy written to manage failure. It is a promise we can make because of what happens before the item ever ships.

What if my item is not authentic?

Tell us, and we will look into it.

Contact us with your order number and what you have noticed, with photographs where you can. You do not need to build a case or produce an expert opinion. Describing what you have seen is enough to open an authenticity claim, and the investigation is ours to carry out.

If the item is found not to be authentic, you receive a full refund of what you paid.

What does an authenticity claim cost me?

Nothing.

Shipping to us and back again is covered, and so is the cost of the investigation. Where an item is found not to be authentic, those costs sit with the seller who listed it, not with you.

How do I return an item for authenticity reasons?

Contact us first. Do not send anything back before a claim has been opened, because we need to know it is coming.

Once your claim is open:

  1. Return the item in the same condition it was sent to you.
  2. Include the original box, any accessories, and the PUSHAS authenticity tag.
  3. Double box the parcel, so the item box itself is protected in transit.
  4. Send it with tracking, using the instructions we give you.

An item that comes back worn, altered, or missing its box, accessories or PUSHAS tag cannot be assessed properly, and a claim may not be able to proceed.

What happens when the item reaches PUSHAS?

It goes to an authenticator, and it is examined properly.

That examination covers colour and shade against the original release, materials and construction, stitching and quality control markers, sizing accuracy and size tag, signs of wear through the sole, tread, collar, lining and pressure points, the logo, the box and its label, and the PUSHAS authenticity tag.

You are told the outcome either way, and a refund is issued once an item is confirmed not to be authentic.

How often does this actually happen?

Rarely. Since PUSHAS launched in 2017, not one item sold on the platform has been returned and confirmed as counterfeit.

That is not because nothing counterfeit is ever submitted to us. It is because it never leaves the authentication station. Anything that does not pass is stopped there, and never becomes someone's order.

We publish that figure because it is the point. The guarantee is the safety net. The vetting and the authentication are the reason you are unlikely to ever need it.

What if a claim turns out not to be genuine?

Authenticity claims are taken seriously, which means they are also assessed seriously.

Where an item is confirmed authentic, no refund is issued under this guarantee, and the item is returned to you. A claim made in bad faith, or an item substituted or altered before it is returned, may incur charges and may end a buyer's access to PUSHAS.

This is not aimed at buyers with a real concern. Raise one without hesitation. It exists because the guarantee only holds its value if it cannot be gamed.

Who makes the final decision?

PUSHAS does. As the platform, we assess every authenticity case and decide it on behalf of our sellers, so you are never left arguing with the person who listed the item.

That decision is final within PUSHAS. It does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law, and nothing on this page limits them.

Does this replace my consumer rights?

No. It sits on top of them.

Items that are not authentic, not as described, or not fit for use are covered by the consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law, and those rights cannot be excluded by anything we write. The PUSHAS guarantee is what we offer in addition, because we would rather resolve it ourselves than leave you to enforce it.
